We’re looking to recruit a PR Account Executive who is passionate about communication and loves to write. The agency is growing steadily with amazing opportunities for results-oriented PR professionals to work on technology accounts.

The role will assist in driving integrated PR and communications campaigns forward.

We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, proactive, loves working in a flexible, entrepreneurial environment, and is willing to take on exciting challenges and learn new skills. We’ve been called a ‘powerhouse that gets sh*t done’ and we’re keen to protect that reputation!

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assistance with day-to-day client management, reporting into the Account Manager
  2. Collaborate with team to build and carry out PR strategies
  3. Constantly create new angles and draft messaging for press releases
  4. Research appropriate media contacts for each story and build customized distribution lists
  5. Execute pitches with reporters and publications
  6. Map events and speaking engagements to secure opportunities for clients
  7. Assist in developing thought leadership pieces
  8. Monitor for coverage and build regular reports sharing results
  9. Create content for EC-PR’s content channels: social media and blog
  10. Other responsibilities as needed
  11. Keep up to date with industry trends on client industry technology and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them

About you:

  5. Strong research and analytical skills
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills
  7. Eager to learn and easily adaptable
  8. Experience online project management tools would be beneficial
  9. Availability after hours and willingness to work from home/weekends when necessary
  10. Previous PR/ writing experience – an advantage
  11. Familiarity with digital publications and technology – an advantage
  12. PR experience a definite plus

We are currently looking for an experienced PR Account Manager to join our fast-growing UK-based team. You don’t need a tech background, but you do need to be inquisitive, have a willingness to learn and take enormous professionally pride in doing a good job. We’re happy to consider flexi-working arrangements too.

As a PR Account Manager, you will be responsible for the faultless and proactive delivery of effective and creative PR campaigns to engage and grow our clients’ audience. You will coordinate PR calendars and strategies which deliver and enhance agreed campaigns, build key relationships, and gain coverage in target press.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Work with the SMT (Lorraine & Liz) to develop the overall PR strategy for our clients
  2. Day-to-day contact for client accounts, based in key clients’ offices one day a week
  3. Be responsible for media outreach and executing integrated communications campaigns
  4. Manage Ideas Bank and content schedule, with full responsibility for content production, press releases, by-lined articles, reports, social content, award entries whilst demonstrating in-depth knowledge of a client’s business
  5. Thinking creatively of new angles and messaging for a global audience
  6. Interacting with top media outlets and journalists daily
  7. Ensure that day-to-day account activities and media outreach are strategically on target with each client’s business goals & KPIs
  8. Manage several accounts/teams and participate in mentoring junior staff
  9. Keep up to date with industry trends on clients’ industry sectors and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.

About you:

  1. 2-4 years of tech public relations/communications experience, preferably with agency-side expertise
  2. Fierce pride in doing a good job, methodical, goal-oriented
  3. Strong, proven, written and verbal communication skills
  4. Experience working with clients in the technology sector (helpful but not essential)
  5. Track record in pitching journalists/influencers and securing editorial coverage
  6. Interest in pitching new business
  7. Excellent research, analytical and editing skills
  8. Strong verbal and written communications skills
  9. Must have client-facing experience
  10. Creative problem-solving, organisational and strategic planning skills
  11. Flexibility after hours and willingness to work from home/weekends when necessary
